Farmers Market
Mount Prospect Lions Club Farmers’ Market will be held every Sunday, June 6 - Oct. 17 from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Mount Prospect Train Depot West Commuter Parking Lot (corner of Northwest Hwy. & Rte. 83). For a wonderful array of fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers and other goodies, stop by and check it out!

Rally Day Festival
The Christian Education program of the Community Presbyterian Church, 407 N. Main St (Rte 83 at Gregory St) Mt Prospect is holding a Rally Day Festival. The celebration will take place Saturday September 11th from 2-6pm on church grounds. The day will feature classic lawn games, musical bands with jam sessions (bring your instrument), food and beverages, surprise speakers and much more. There are activities for all ages. Marché français - the farmers market with a French twist
Join the Mount Prospect Sister Cities Commission as they host “Marché Français – Mount Prospect Farmers Market with a French Twist” in conjunction with the Mount Prospect Lions Club Farmers’ Market in the Metra Commuter Parking Lot along Northwest Highway at Rte. 83. Some of our “French” themed vendors include: Brie’s Gift Gallery; Canta Napoli; Dave’s Specialty Foods; La Spiceria; Olives 4 You; Retro Bistro; Sister Cities Commission; Vino100; Votre Vu Cosmetics; Plum Grove Gardens and Crafts. The Mount Prospect Public Library will be there with a special story time and Language Stars will have fun games for kids.
Fishing Derby

Ages 4-14
Mt. Prospect Park District brings recreational fishing to
the youngsters of Mount Prospect. Boys and girls age 4 to
14, accompanied by an adult, will have an opportunity to
fish for blue gill and catfish. The Derby opens at 8:30am
with an educational clinic on water and fishing safety.
Fishing begins at 9am. Bring your own rod, reel and tackle;

Peace Walk
On September 18, the South Church will host a
community-wide afternoon Peace Walk and an evening Peace Day
Celebration to commemorate International Day of Peace. The
General Assembly of the United Nations passed a resolution
in 2001 naming September 21st as International Day of Peace
(“Peace Day”).
